Southern Commercial Development, LLC works with CSX Transportation providing traffic control and detour signage for railroad crossing closures which require necessary maintenance and/or emergency repairs. 

CSX Transportation has announced that they will be having a tie team starting March 25, 2024 in Clinton, NC. This will require a total closure of the railroad crossings. *A total closure meaning no traffic will be allowed across the track until the work is complete*

Here is a google map showing all 6 crossings that  will be getting ties. These 6 crossings will all get closed starting at 7am on March 25th.  Southern Commercial Development, LLC will start pulling the barricades at crossing labeled as CROSSING # 1.  Five of these crossings are one way in/out. Southern Commercial Development, LLC will notify the residents behind these crossings one week prior so that they can park their vehicles on the opposite side of the track.  CSX is going to attempt to have these 5 private crossing completed in 12hrs (hence closed from 7am to 7pm).  If CSX is NOT able to complete the work in 12hrs then CSX will rock these crossings in for overnight usage if needed.

The only crossing that will require detour signage will be Rackley Rd.  Signage will be in place marking detour routes. Please note the expected closure date(s).  Southern Commercial Development, LLC will update changes in the schedule as they occur, as they are highly likely in this field of work.  Please note that any/all dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorist should anticipate extended travel times and delays.  Please avoid this closure area if at all possible.
