SAMPSON COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION “Enhancing Our Community”
Adults Sports Program Description Sampson county Parks and Recreation Department offers adult sports leagues year-round. During the winter Flag Football keeps everyone active until the spring warms up the Softball junkies. The fall is filled with those Soccer go-roos and those left over softball junkies. Adult sports leagues are a wonderful outlet for exercise and socialization for the hardworking citizens of our county. Teams are organized by individual coaches and many teams often find individual team sponsors.
Adult Summer Softball This league hosts up to 120 adults. Typically containing 4-5 teams. Teams play a minimum 10 games schedule and conclude the season with a double elimination tournament. Player’s ages range from 17—57 years. Teams rosters are limited to 18 players. Team registration is kept to a minimum to promote play and allow those who wish to participate to do so. $175 per team. Games are played in Garland. Runs May thru July	Adult Flag Football Program This league hosts up to 80 adults. Typically containing 3-5 teams. Teams play a minimum 10 games schedule and conclude the season with a double elimination tournament. Player’s ages range from 17—57 years. Teams rosters are limited to 15 players. The league plays 8 vs 8 ineligible lineman. Team registration is kept to a minimum to promote play and allow those who wish to participate to do so. $175 team. Games are played county wide. Runs December thru February
Adult Softball Fall Program This league hosts up to 120 adults. Typically containing 4-5 teams. Teams play a minimum 10 games schedule and conclude the season with a double elimination tournament. Player’s ages range from 17—57 years. Teams rosters are limited to 18 players. Team registration is kept to a minimum to promote play and allow those who wish to participate to do so. $175 per team. Games are played in Newton Grove Runs September thru November	Adult Soccer Program This league hosts up to 120 adults. Typically containing 4-5 teams. Teams play a minimum 10 games schedule and conclude the season with a double elimination tournament. Player’s ages range from 17—57 years. Teams rosters are limited to 12 players. This is a 7 vs 7 league playing on a modified field and with modified goal sizes. Team registration is kept to a minimum to promote play and allow those who wish to participate to do so. $175 per team. Games are played in county wide Runs May thru July
