August is National Immunization Month

All students entering North Carolina school must be current on all state required vaccines.

All students entering the 7th grade are required to have a Tdap AND a Meningococcal Vaccine.

  • Tdap Vaccine can protect adolescents and adults from tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.
  • Meningococcal Vaccine can protect children ages 2-18 from meningitis.

Sampson County Health Department provides the Tdap and Meningococcal Vaccines as well as other immunizations to prevent the spread of Communicable Disease. 

Physical Exams:
North Carolina law now requires all students entering a North Carolina school for the first time to have a complete physical examination.
