State Cost Share Programs

The NC Agriculture Cost Share program helps address nonpoint source pollution by providing technical and financial assistance in the form of incentive payments and cost-share funds to farmers or landowners to install Best Management Practices (BMP's) such as cover crops, long-term no-till, cropland conversion to hay/pasture, water control structures, grassed waterways, and animal waste management systems.

If you are a landowner or renter of an existing agricultural operation that has been operating for more than three years, you are eligible to participate in the North Carolina Agriculture Cost Share Program.  http://www.ncagr.gov/SWC/costshareprograms/ACSP/index.html

The Agricultural Water Resources Assistance Program (AgWRAP) identifies opportunities to increase water use efficiency, availability and storage.  Eligible practices are listed on the program website at http://www.ncagr.gov/SWC/costshareprograms/AgWRAP/index.html
